With an overall capacity of 11,200m2, the site is in a prime location outside of London. The facility is ISO27001 and PCI compliant, supporting rack power densities up to 15kW, is connected by a resilient, multi-carrier high speed network with 2ms of network latency and is within one hour of the capital.

Multi-Level Security

All data is encrypted before leaving the client environment, in-flight and at rest in the datacentre using industry leading AES256 bit encryption. Keys are set via the customer or managed service provider on behalf of their clients prior to data leaving client site. All access to the vault and back end systems is only available via two factor authentication by dedicated DirectCloud Backup staff only. The business operates to CSA Star Alliance and ISO 27001 accredited, PCI DSS compliant standards.

Power & Generators

To eliminate risk caused by outages, the site uses diverse supplier feeds from multiple grid points ensuring there is no single point of failure. The site was designed for redundancy with a 3.5mVA power supply, reliable back-up sources and enough fuel onsite for 30 hours at full load.

Fire Detection & Suppression

Ensuring our infrastructure and customer equipment operate safely is one of our greatest concerns. The facility is equipped with VESDA fire detection which continuously samples the air for smoke particles. In the event of an alert we have installed a FM200 suppression system.
